There was a recent occasion when a relative needed to buy a large number of sarees for marriage purposes. As people who would have seen the concept of the Great Indian Marriage would know, when a marriage is planned in Delhi or the neighborhood, there are many functions that are part of the marriage planning. And then it was mind-boggling to see the number of sarees that could be packed in a shop. In a matter of a couple of hours, we would have seen around a hundred sarees; sarees that were silk, georgette, crepe, embriodered, printed, zari work, and so on. Some of them were heavy, and in all colors. Many of them were extremely elegant and beautiful. Overall, we managed to get a fair amount of shopping done there.
And you also get suits over there in a variety of designs. There is some amount of bargaining that can be done over there, but it all depends on how good a bargain you are capable of driving.
